In many cases, yes, regrouting can stop minor leaks caused by cracked grout or worn silicone. To improve water resistance, we mix an acrylic polymer into our grout solution, which adds durability and flexibility (especially in showers that get hot and cold quickly).
However, if there’s a structural issue or failed waterproof membrane behind the tiles, regrouting alone may not be enough. That’s something we assess during your inspection and we’ll always be honest if we feel a bigger repair is needed.
