frequently asked questions

  • In many cases, yes, regrouting can stop minor leaks caused by cracked grout or worn silicone. To improve water resistance, we mix an acrylic polymer into our grout solution, which adds durability and flexibility (especially in showers that get hot and cold quickly).

However, if there’s a structural issue or failed waterproof membrane behind the tiles, regrouting alone may not be enough. That’s something we assess during your inspection and we’ll always be honest if we feel a bigger repair is needed.

  • A full bathroom renovation can easily cost anywhere between $10,000–$15,000 and take 2–4 weeks (sometimes longer), not including the planning time and potential disruptions.

In contrast, regrouting and sealing typically costs between $450-$750 for a standard shower area, depending on size and condition and the work is usually completed in half a day, with your shower ready to use within 24 hours.

  • A standard shower regrout takes 3-6 hours, depending on tile size, grout depth, and condition. Kitchens or laundries can take a similar amount of time, depending on size of tiled area.

  • Only if it's actively leaking and causing damage. Most leaks are gradual - so you can usually keep using it until we work on it. After regrouting, just give it 24 hours to set before reuse.

  • Yes! If your goal is to refresh your tiled area and the photos clearly show the size and condition of the affected space, we can usually provide a ballpark quote upfront.

If you're contacting us due to a significant or persistent leak, we’d recommend a quick on-site inspection. We include free thermal water detection to help identify hidden leaks without removing tiles and we’ll always be upfront about what’s needed before any work begins.
